    The main issue is that cyclists do not follow the rules of the road like a regular vehicle. Cyclists run intersections at red lights and don’t stop at stop signs where I’m from. Both the sidewalk, the shoulder, and the road itself can be considered a bikes path and most people just ride wherever they want whenever. Bikes also do not meet minimum speed requirements for most places outside of cities. They don’t have head or tail lights which decrease the noticeability when they’re on the road. It baffles me that they don’t adopt the “right of way” system for boats. Bikes are far more nimble and can go pretty much anywhere at any time Bikes can be carried, turned around on the spot. It is far easier for a bicycle to move out of the way for a car than it is for a car to move for a bike. As a cyclist myself I follow these rules and I’ve never had any issues.

    • @JDirom
      @JDirom 3 дні тому

      Truth is studies have shown drivers break the law more frequently than cyclists. Feel free to watch the video again and observe the green light. Roadways aren’t boat ways, and hate to break it but it would be pure chaos among cars if such rules were adopted.

    probably better to get the chunkier HV model. nobody needs 160psi

    • @JDirom
      @JDirom 6 днів тому

      A good recommendation assuming someone isn't going to go over 90 PSI which is the limitation of that particular pump. Some road riders do still run higher pressures. In my case I run about 83-85 PSI, I like that extra wiggle room, rather than pressing up against the max capacity of the pump.

  • @NormAusSmith
    @NormAusSmith 6 днів тому

    The PRO model has one very important difference. On the non-PRO model, the threads on the pump body where the extension hose threads in, is plastic. This cross-threaded when I needed it most. The threads on the PRO model are metal. I had to discard the regular model and buy the PRO model. I would not recommend the non-PRO model, it is a false economy.

      You can probably find a comparable ultrasonic on Amazon. That cleaner is 20 years old and bought from a tattoo supplier in NYC. Just look for something with a minim 20oz capacity. It will be small but can easily fit the chain, but will not fit larger parts. Wax I am currently using is Silca Super Secret . Hope that helps!

I think my score was like 572 or something, going into the race, I had just been auto-moved to B a few weeks back where I'm an upper mid-pack B. I'm a longtime C and couldn't resist racing back as a "C". I was going on vacation for the 4th and peaking so I gave it all the beans on the sprint, I mostly just sat in. I think I had to close down a gap once since no one was working in that moment. I very much like the new scoring system

      @leorichardson8699 if you see nothing wrong here, you need to take a step back and look at how situations like that are bad for inexperienced cyclists. While JD may be comfortable, it could spell disaster to someone else.

      @@wattsupcycling in what reasonable sense an inexperienced cyclist should be on the road?

      @@JDirom I'm not seeing a phone. He correctly assessed slowing down for opposing traffic, only going when it was safe, and seemed to also correctly assess that his turn would still give you plenty of room to safely bike past him. Its all above board. If he's on his phone, I agree, he should not be, but in this instance there is no immediate danger present, the driver seemed alert to multiple potential dangers, and no accident occurred. If he's distracted driving, he's incredibly good at it.

      @@ansatsuken well seeing as it is against the law to ride on the sidewalk, that is where they must ride.

      Thanks, it was getting up there. Being well into my 50’s my max isn’t as high as it once was.

    @13:33 - does steering help you in races?

    • @JDirom
      @JDirom 19 днів тому

      Steering I think is a big advantage when it comes to the end or any situation where potentially people don’t want to work or excluding them from the draft is advantageous. I don’t have the Zwift play, but rather the Elite Sterzo, which has proven to not be the best way to steer so I rarely use it.

      Great piece of kit. Since this video I ordered a second as I wear it all the time when the temperature drops. Enjoy!
